Our community is in need of hope.

The winter months are here and it is tough-going for the thousands of working poor families who have been laid off for the season, for the seniors who have to choose between food and medicine, and for the newly unemployed in retail and technology.

Imagine trying to put food on the table for our family when money is dwindling and there are few job prospects. This is the reality for thousands of friends, neighbors and co-workers. 

Second Harvest and its 180 member agencies and programs are seeing an unparalleled demand for food, up 20-30% over last year.  This translates to 60,00 people each month -- half are children.

While this situation is dire, THERE IS HOPE.
